AIIMS Nursing Officer Salary Structure

Post	Pay Scale (Per Month)
Nursing Officer	₹9,300 – ₹34,800 + Grade Pay: 4,600 + Allowances

Employees are entitled to additional benefits such as Dearness Allowance (DA), House Rent Allowance (HRA), Medical Benefits, Leave Travel Concession (LTC), Provident Fund, and Pension Scheme as per government norms.

Eligibility Criteria

1. Educational Qualification

Candidates must fulfill either of the following qualifications:

Option 1	B.Sc. (Hons.) Nursing / B.Sc. Nursing from an Indian Nursing Council/State Nursing Council recognized Institute/University OR B.Sc. (Post-Certificate) / Post-Basic B.Sc. Nursing
Option 2	Diploma in General Nursing Midwifery (GNM) from an Indian Nursing Council/State Nursing Council recognized Institute/Board/Council with two years of experience in a minimum 50-bedded hospital.

Additionally, candidates must be registered as Nurses & Midwife with the State/Indian Nursing Council.

Selection Process

The selection will be done through the Nursing Officer Recruitment Common Eligibility Test (NORCET-8) in two stages:

Stage 1 – NORCET Preliminary Exam

• Mode: Online (Computer-Based Test)
• Duration: 90 minutes
• Total Questions: 100 MCQs (100 Marks)
  • 20 Questions – General Knowledge & Aptitude
  • 80 Questions – Nursing Subjects
• Negative Marking: 1/3 mark deducted for each wrong answer
• Qualifying Marks:
  • UR/EWS: 50 percentile
  • OBC: 45 percentile
  • SC/ST: 40 percentile
  • PWBD: Additional 5 percentile relaxation

Stage 2 – NORCET Mains Exam

• Mode: Online (Computer-Based Test)
• Duration: 180 minutes
• Total Questions: 160 MCQs (160 Marks)
• Syllabus: Advanced Nursing Concepts & Case-Based Questions
• Negative Marking: 1/3 mark deducted for each wrong answer
• Final Merit List: Based on NORCET Mains Score
