UPSC CAPF Recruitment 2025 – Apply Online for 357 Assistant Commandant Posts

The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) of India has officially released the notification for the Assistant Commandant (AC) Central Armed Police Forces (CAPF) 2025 exam.

As per the notification, there are vacancies in various paramilitary forces including Border Security Force (BSF), Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF), Central Industrial Security Force (CISF), Indo-Tibetan Border Police (ITBP) and Border Security Branch (SSB).

Eligibility Criteria

1. Nationality

• Must be an Indian citizen.
• Candidates from Nepal or Bhutan can apply with prior permission from the Government of India.

2. Educational Qualification

• A Bachelor’s degree from a recognized university is mandatory.

3. Age Limit (as of 01/08/2025)

• Minimum Age: 20 years
• Maximum Age: 25 years (Born between 2nd August 2000 and 1st August 2005)

Age Relaxation:

• SC/ST: 5 years
• OBC: 3 years
• Ex-Servicemen & Government Employees: 5 years

Selection Process

The selection process consists of three stages:

1. Written Examination (450 marks)
   
   • Paper 1: General Ability & Intelligence (250 marks, Objective-type)
   • Paper 2: General Studies, Essay & Comprehension (200 marks, Descriptive-type)
2. Physical Standards & Efficiency Test
   
   • 100m Race: 16 sec (Male) | 18 sec (Female)
   • 800m Race: 3 min 45 sec (Male) | 4 min 45 sec (Female)
   • Long Jump: 3.5m (Male) | 3m (Female)
   • Shot Put: 4.5m (Male only)
